We've got shoes, Smith Rock guidebooks, and stick clip rentals for those notoriously high first bolts. Come by the shop on your way to the park and drop them off on your way home.

What does Redpoint Mean?

In climbing, redpointing means successfully leading a route with no falls or points of aid. Usually a climb is redpointed after working through it on top rope or projecting on lead. The term originally comes from European climber Kurt Albert, who would paint a circle on the bottom of a climb and mark it with a red X once he completed it clean.

What are Your Hours of Operation?

We're a seasonal business, and our hours change with the seasons. We're open 7 days a week during Spring, Summer, and Fall, and take a break during winter. Don't worry, we're still here Friday afternoon through Sunday evening during the cold months for your weekend Smith excursions! But the best way to keep up with our current hours is to check our Google or our Instagram page, which we update regularly.

Do You Offer Guiding Services?

While we don't personally offer guiding services, we've got the hook-ups to some of the best local guides in the area. Stop by our shop and we'll connect you with the best through Chockstone Climbing Guides.
